Use Keybinds to Search Quickly Without Opening Menus

Configuring Your Search Keybind

Access your mod settings or controls menu and locate the Chest Tracker keybind section. Assign a key combination you find comfortable—common choices are dedicated keys or combinations like Ctrl+F. Save your settings.

Quick Search from Anywhere

Press your configured keybind while in-game (not in a menu) to instantly open the search interface. You can do this while exploring, building, or managing inventory without needing to open your inventory screen first.

Searching on the Fly

Once the search box appears, type your query immediately. Results display in real-time as you type. Matching containers highlight in your view, allowing you to navigate without closing the search menu.

Closing the Search

Press Escape or your keybind again to close the search interface and clear highlights. This keeps your workflow smooth when you're moving between multiple storage locations.

Alternative: Inventory Button

If you prefer mouse-based access, use the Chest Tracker button added to your inventory screen instead of memorizing keybinds.
