Use Commands to Inspect and Clear Item Data

Inspecting Item Metadata

When hovering tooltips aren't enough, use the inspect command for a complete log:

1. Hold the item you want to examine in your hand

2. Type /chestdna inspect in chat

3. The full origin data prints to chat, including all coordinates, dimensions, source type, and finder information

This is useful for verifying rare loot or checking detailed history when tooltips are cut off.

Clearing Origin Data

To remove all origin metadata from an item:

1. Hold the item in your hand

2. Type /chestdna clear in chat

3. The origin card disappears and the item's history is wiped

This is helpful if you want to reset an item's tracked data or if you're preparing items for trading without revealing their source. Server administrators can also restrict which data fields (like coordinates or player names) are visible to players, so some details may already be hidden depending on server settings.
