Scouting Key Locations
Walk through the entire map to identify visually compelling angles and locations. The control room offers dense, detailed interiors; the reactor buildings provide massive industrial scale; the cooling towers create dramatic silhouettes. Make note of hallways with good lighting, open spaces with clear sightlines, and areas where multiple structures are visible together.
Capturing Interior Shots
Enter the administrative building and photograph the control panels from multiple heights and distances. Move through hallways to capture the sense of depth and scale. Use doorways and windows to frame shots of other structures visible beyond.
Capturing Exterior Shots
Position yourself at different points around the reactor buildings and cooling towers. Shoot from ground level looking up, from elevated positions looking across the complex, and from distances that show multiple structures together. The perimeter grounds offer open areas perfect for wide establishing shots.
Organizing Your Footage
Create a mental or written map of shot types and locations. Plan transitions between interior and exterior sequences. Return to promising locations at different times if the map supports dynamic lighting, or experiment with different camera angles to maximize visual variety in your final project.
