How to Use the Free Camera in CheatUtils

The Free Camera lets you detach your view from your character and fly around like a spectator, while your actual player stays put. This is handy for scouting terrain, checking builds, or getting cinematic screenshots without moving your body.

Enabling and Controlling the Camera

Open the CheatUtils interface (default keybind is usually a configurable menu key) and toggle Free Camera on. Your view will detach from your player. Use your normal movement keys to fly, and look around with the mouse. You can pass through blocks since the camera emulates spectator mode. Press the toggle again (or the assigned hotkey) to snap your view back to your character.

Practical Tips

  • Your player is still vulnerable while the camera is detached, so avoid using it in dangerous areas on multiplayer servers.
  • Combine it with Full Bright so caves and night areas are visible while scouting.
  • Use it to line up screenshots or check redstone from above without climbing.
  • If the camera feels stuck, toggle it off and on again to reset position.

Remember this is a client-side mod, so other players see your body standing still while you fly around invisibly.
