Pasting an Image from Clipboard

The fastest way to share a screenshot or copied image:

1. Copy an image to your clipboard (screenshot, file copy, or web image)

2. Open Minecraft chat

3. Type /chatupgrade upload paste

4. The image uploads and renders inline in your message

All players in chat will see the image displayed directly in the message thread.

Picking a File from Your Computer

To browse and select an image manually:

1. Type /chatupgrade upload pick

2. Your system file picker opens

3. Navigate to and select an image file (png, jpg, gif, webp, bmp, tif, or ico)

4. Click confirm to upload

The mod supports animated formats like APNG and GIF, which will play inline.

Uploading from a Known Folder

If you know the exact folder path:

1. Type /chatupgrade upload folder

2. Specify the folder path containing your image

3. Select the image file you want to send

Upload Mode Settings

Your upload method depends on your configured upload mode. Check /chatupgrade config uploadMode to see whether files go directly to the server or through temporary third-party hosting.
