Control What Media You Receive and Display
Limiting File Sizes
To prevent lag or unwanted large downloads:
1. Open chat and type /chatupgrade config maxReceiveBytes
2. Set a maximum file size limit (in bytes) that clients can download
3. Any media exceeding this limit will be rejected or require manual approval
This protects your bandwidth and system resources when playing on servers with many active players.
Enabling Manual Reveal Mode
For privacy or performance, require clicking before media displays:
1. Type /chatupgrade config manualImageReveal
2. Toggle this setting on
3. Media previews will now show as collapsed placeholders
4. Click to expand and view the actual image, audio player, or video
This is useful if you want to review content before rendering it, or if you're on a low-bandwidth connection.
Adjusting Media Volume
Control default playback volume for audio and video:
1. Type /chatupgrade config audioVolumePercent
2. Set your preferred default volume level
3. Individual players can still adjust volume during playback
Checking Current Settings
Use /chatupgrade config to view all your active configuration options and their current values.
