Check Word Spelling

The mod matches exact text by default. If you're tracking "Steve" but chat shows "steve" (lowercase), they may not match. Add both variations if needed, or check if your mod supports case-insensitive matching in advanced options.

Confirm Highlight Color Visibility

If the highlight color is too similar to the chat background, you won't notice it. Return to settings and pick a brighter or more contrasting color.

Test with a Simple Word

Add a common word like "hello" and ask a friend to type it. This confirms the mod is working. If it still doesn't highlight, your settings may not have saved properly.

Restart Your Game

If changes still don't appear, close Minecraft completely and reopen it. This ensures all mod settings load correctly from your configuration file.
