Set Up Alerts for Your Username

Open the Settings Menu

Press U on your keyboard (Fabric) or go to Main Menu → Mods → Config (Forge) to access the Chat Highlight N Sound Mod settings.

Add Your Username

1. Look for the Custom Words or Tracked Keywords section

2. Click the Add button or text field

3. Type your exact Minecraft username

4. Press Enter or click Confirm

Choose Your Highlight Color

Select a color from the color picker that stands out against the default chat background. Bright colors like yellow, lime, or cyan work well for visibility.

Pick a Sound Alert

Choose a sound effect from the available options. Test it by clicking the preview button so you'll recognize it during gameplay.

Save and Test

Click Save or Apply. Join your server and have a friend type your name in chat—you should see it highlighted and hear your chosen sound play immediately.
