Preserve ore blocks with Silk Touch while vein mining

Using Silk Touch with Chain Vein

If your pickaxe has the Silk Touch enchantment, Chain Vein Mod respects it—the entire vein will drop as ore blocks instead of raw materials.

Steps:

1. Enchant your pickaxe with Silk Touch (via enchanting table, anvil, or creative mode)

2. Equip the Silk Touch pickaxe

3. Press V while looking at an ore block

4. All blocks in the vein will drop as intact ore blocks

Why use Silk Touch vein mining?

• Collect ore blocks for later smelting or processing
• Transport ores to a central smelter without losing material
• Preserve ores for modded processing chains that require ore blocks
• Combine with Fortune on a different tool for raw material farming

Note: Tool durability is consumed for each block mined, even in vein mode. A Silk Touch pickaxe will wear down faster when mining large veins. Consider using Unbreaking enchantment alongside Silk Touch for extended use.
