Chain W-Tap and Jump Reset for Knockback Exchanges

Understand the Timing Window

When you take knockback from an opponent's hit, you have a brief moment to reset your momentum. W-tap (sprint reset) and jump reset work together to regain control and stay aggressive.

Enable Both Modules

Toggle W-Tap and Jump Reset in your Celeste menu. These tools automate the input timing, so you don't have to manually tap sprint or jump at the exact frame.

Practice the Exchange

1. Let an opponent hit you and knock you back

2. The jump reset module will time your jump automatically

3. Immediately after landing, W-tap activates to restore sprint

4. Use this window to close distance or reposition for your next strike

Combine with Aim Assist

While your movement resets, enable aim assist to keep your crosshair tracking your target. This lets you attack the moment you regain footing, turning knockback into a seamless offense-defense cycle.

Refine Through Sparring

Test against players to feel the rhythm. Adjust your positioning so you're moving *toward* your opponent as these resets complete, maximizing follow-up damage.
