Hunting and Cooking Basics

Head into deep caves to find Cave Dwellers. To survive an encounter, land three jumping critical hits on the monster to temporarily stun it and create an escape window. After defeating a dweller, collect the dropped meat parts and heads.

Bring your ingredients to a cutting board or cooking pot to prepare dishes like stews, pasties, and pies. You can also wear the dropped monster heads as armor in your helmet slot or Curios slot.

For rare trades and specialty cooked goods, place a Surveying Table near an unemployed villager to convert them into a Cave-Diver. This profession unlocks access to unique items and paintings found only underground.
