How to Decorate with Caupona Architectural Blocks

The Column System

Caupona's decorative blocks are built around a modular column system. You combine a Column Plinth, a Column Shaft, and a Column Capital to make a full column. The plinth and shaft come in materials like Calcite, and the capitals come in styles such as Acanthine Calcite, Acanthine Quartz, Acanthine Stone, and Acanthine Felsic Tuff. Mix and match to get the look you want.

Building a Column

1. Place a Calcite Column Plinth on the ground.

2. Stack Calcite Column Shaft blocks on top to the desired height.

3. Cap it with an Acanthine capital of your chosen material.

Other Decorative Pieces

  • Calcite Lacunar Tile — ceiling panels for a coffered look.
  • Calcite Spoked Fence — an open, decorative fence variant.
  • Basalt Mosaic Pieces and Brick Mosaic Pieces — small tiles for floors and accent walls.

Thematic Kitchens

Pair columns with a Brick Counter, Brick Stove, and Brick Chimney Flue to build a Roman-style kitchen. The Brick Counter with Dolium adds a storage jar to the counter for a lived-in feel.

Tips

  • Columns are purely decorative — they do not support anything structurally.
  • Use matching materials for a clean look, or contrast capitals against shafts for a more ornate style.
