Make cats dance to music from other mods

How cross-mod music works

Cat Jam Mod is designed to work with music discs from any mod, not just the officially supported ones. If a mod adds new music discs but doesn't have custom choreography, cats will still dance — just with a generic routine.

Playing custom mod discs

Install any mod that adds music discs (such as music packs or themed mod additions). Craft or find those discs and insert them into a jukebox near tamed cats. The cats will immediately start dancing to the beat, even if the mod creator didn't design a specific dance.

Universal dance behavior

The universal dance is beat-aware, meaning it responds to the rhythm and tempo of the music. Faster songs produce quicker head bobs, while slower tracks result in more relaxed movements. This keeps the dancing feeling natural across all music sources.

Expanding your collection

Experiment with different mods to find new music discs. Each one will trigger the universal dance if no custom routine exists, giving you variety without requiring mod compatibility patches.
