Navigating Multi-Story Castle Interiors
Understanding Castle Layout
Each castle spans four complete floors with randomized room connections, corridors, and staircase placements. This means every interior is different:
- Stairs are scattered throughout corridors and rooms—explore systematically to find paths upward.
- Rooms connect unpredictably, so dead ends are common. Mark your route with torches or blocks to avoid getting lost.
- Towers contain vertical shafts that often lead between multiple floors quickly.
Exploration Tips
- Bring plenty of torches to light dark corridors and mark your path back to the entrance.
- Carry a pickaxe to break through weathered stone if you need an emergency exit.
- Watch for mobs in shadowed corners—bring a sword or bow for defense.
- Map mentally as you progress: note which corridors lead where, and remember that upper floors may have different layouts than lower ones.
- Check room corners and alcoves for loot that may have generated during construction.
Take your time exploring—rushing through a four-story fortress often leads to disorientation.
