Adjust Cel-Shading Intensity and Outline Thickness

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually found in your video settings under Shaders). Look for the Cartoon Dreams Shaders profile and click Options to open the configuration panel.

Customize Cel-Shading

Locate the cel-shading settings section. You'll find sliders for:

  • Outline Thickness: Controls how bold the cartoon edges appear on blocks and mobs. Lower values create subtle outlines; higher values make them more pronounced and comic-book-like.
  • Shading Levels: Adjusts how many distinct color bands appear on surfaces. Fewer levels create a flatter, more stylized look; more levels add depth while keeping the cartoon feel.
  • Outline Color Intensity: Determines whether outlines are dark and crisp or softer and blended.

Apply and Test

After adjusting, click Apply and walk around your world to see how the changes affect different lighting conditions. Test in both daylight and caves—outlines behave differently depending on ambient light. If the effect feels too strong or too subtle, return to the menu and fine-tune until you achieve your preferred cartoon aesthetic.
