Place Carpets on Walls

Basic Wall Placement

Carpets can be attached to vertical surfaces just like they would on floors. Sneak (hold Shift) and right-click on the side of a block to place a carpet on that wall surface. The carpet will adhere flat against the wall, maintaining its texture and color.

Positioning Tips

• Aim your crosshair at the exact wall face where you want the carpet to appear
• You can stack carpets vertically by placing them on adjacent wall blocks
• Carpets will not replace existing blocks—the wall surface must be exposed
• Use carpets to create decorative patterns, borders, or accent walls in your builds

Removing Wall Carpets

Break wall-mounted carpets by left-clicking them, just as you would with floor carpets. They drop as items and can be collected and reused elsewhere.

Compatibility

All standard Minecraft carpet colors and variants work on walls. This includes wool carpets and any modded carpet types that follow standard carpet mechanics.
