Create a fake player combat arena for testing

Build a testing arena

Construct a simple enclosed space with:

• A platform 3-4 blocks high
• Open ground below for mobs to spawn
• Clear sightlines for observation

Spawn mobs and your fake player

Use commands to spawn a hostile mob in the arena. Place your fake player on the elevated platform with a weapon equipped.

Test jumping attacks

Command your fake player to jump and attack the mob below. Observe the damage dealt and watch for critical hit particles (red sparkles around the impact).

Compare with and without the mod

This arena lets you verify the fix is working. With Carpet Crit Fix installed, you should see consistent critical damage and particle effects. The damage numbers will be noticeably higher than normal attacks, matching the behavior of a real player performing jumping strikes.

Use this space to experiment with different heights, weapon types, and attack timings.
