Using Capes in Cape Better Capes

Cape Better Capes adds a self-contained cape system that works entirely inside Minecraft. Open the cape selection screen with the default keybind (N), or through the Skin Customization tab. There you can browse the built-in cape library and pick any design you like.

If you want something more personal, the mod accepts custom cape uploads at up to 4K resolution, so high-detail artwork stays sharp. No external account or web service is needed for any of this.

One important detail: capes only appear to other players who also have the mod installed. Anyone without it will not see your cape at all, so treat it as a cosmetic shared within the mod's community rather than a global one.

Switching designs is instant and can be done whenever you like, making it easy to match a cape to your current skin.
