Campfire Tweaks and Controls
Gameplay Tweaks
Newly placed campfires start unlit, giving you control over when they become active. This matters because lighting a campfire is what creates the spawn point, so an unlit campfire lets you position it first without immediately setting your respawn there.
To put out a campfire, right-click it with sand, dirt, or soul sand. This gives you a simple way to disable a spawn point without breaking the campfire.
If a campfire becomes waterlogged, reigniting it with flint and steel removes the waterlogging.
Clicking the side of a campfire no longer places fire on adjacent blocks, so you can interact with campfires without accidentally igniting nearby terrain.
Sneaking provides an override for interacting with campfires, letting you avoid triggering their normal behavior when you need to.
