Making Cables Look Like a Wall or Floor

Choosing the Right Facade

To hide cables inside a wall or under a floor, craft Facades from the same block used for that wall or floor. If your wall is stone brick, make stone brick Facades; if it is planks, make plank Facades. Matching the source block is what makes the disguise convincing, because the Facade copies the block's texture and appearance.

Covering a Run of Cables

Lay your cable first, then cover it. For a cable running along a wall, apply a Facade to the outward-facing side so it blends with the wall surface. For a cable running under a floor, apply a Facade to the top face so it looks like the floor block above it. Work from one end of the run to the other, right-clicking each segment.

At corners and junctions, the cable may expose more than one face. Apply a Facade to every exposed side so no cable texture peeks through. Once finished, step back and look along the wall or floor; the cable should be invisible against the surrounding blocks. If a spot still shows, add one more Facade there.
