Fixing Facades That Won't Stay or Look Wrong

Common Causes

If a Facade will not attach, check that you are actually clicking the cable and not an adjacent block. Facades only apply to cables, so aiming at a neighbouring solid block does nothing. If the Facade attaches but immediately looks wrong, you may have clicked a different face than intended, since the side you click becomes the covered side.

Troubleshooting Steps

First, confirm the cable is exposed on the side you are targeting. If another Facade already covers that face, remove it with the Facade Wrench before applying a new one. Second, make sure the Facade matches the surrounding block; a mismatched texture will stand out even though the mechanic is working correctly.

If a Facade seems to vanish, look for it as a dropped item nearby, since some setups drop the Facade instead of returning it to your inventory. If a cable still shows through after covering every visible face, you likely missed a side at a corner or junction. Walk the full length of the cable and cover any remaining exposed faces one at a time until the disguise is complete.
