Maximize Performance on Lower-End Computers
Understand Bybyshader's Efficiency
Bybyshader is built to run fast on most systems because it prioritizes performance. However, you can optimize further if you experience lag.
Disable or Lower Optional Effects
Access shader settings and consider reducing:
- Chromatic aberration: The subtle color-fringing effect on screen edges can be lowered or disabled
- Bloom intensity: Less bloom calculation means better frame rates
- Film grain: Disabling grain removes a processing step
Adjust Render Distance and Other Vanilla Settings
Shaders interact with your render distance. If performance is still poor:
- Lower your render distance in video settings
- Reduce other graphics options like particles or entity shadows
- Close unnecessary background applications
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS while making changes. Test different shader configurations in the same location to see which adjustments help most.
Find Your Balance
Bybyshader's design means you shouldn't need extreme compromises. Small reductions across multiple settings often work better than disabling one feature completely.
