Make Players Burn in Sunlight

Enable Player Sun Burning

By default, players are immune to sun damage. To make players burn during the day, you'll need to modify the mod's configuration file.

Configuration Steps

1. Locate the mod's config file in your config folder (usually named something like burninthesun.toml or similar)

2. Find the section that controls player burning — this is typically a boolean setting or a list of entities to affect

3. Set the player burning option to true or add the player entity to the burn list

4. Save the file

5. Restart your server or world for changes to take effect

Important Notes

Once enabled, players will take damage when standing in direct sunlight without shelter. Wearing a helmet does not protect you — you must find shade, go underground, or use other protective methods like potions or enchantments.

If you want players to burn but want to give them a way to survive, consider pairing this with other mods that add sun-protective gear or mechanics. Test the damage rate in a safe environment first to ensure it matches your desired difficulty.
