Improve Block Visibility for Precise Building
Enhance Block Definition
Open Options → Video Settings → Shaders and access the Builder's QOL configuration. Look for settings labeled Block Clarity, Edge Enhancement, or Detail Sharpness. Increase these values to make individual block faces stand out more clearly.
Adjust Ambient Occlusion
If available, enable or increase Ambient Occlusion (AO). This subtle darkening in block crevices and corners helps you see where blocks connect, making it easier to align builds precisely.
Optimize Lighting for Your Build Style
- For outdoor building: Reduce shadow intensity slightly so sunlight doesn't obscure block details
- For indoor building: Increase ambient light to see block placement without relying on torches
- For detail work: Enable any "block outline" or "wireframe" preview options if the shader offers them
Test in Your Building Area
Place a few test blocks and view them from different angles. You should easily distinguish individual blocks and their edges. Adjust contrast if blocks blend together, or reduce sharpness if the effect feels too harsh.
These settings persist, so you only need to configure them once.
