Using Build Guide Mod to Place Blocks Accurately

Projecting a Build Guide

Build Guide Mod is a client-side mod that projects a configurable hologram of a shape into the world so you can see exactly where each block belongs before placing it. It works in both singleplayer and multiplayer, even when the server does not have the mod installed.

Open the mod's GUI to choose the shape you want to project. Available shapes include circles, spheres, cones, and lines, among others. Because the display is highly configurable, you can adjust it to match the build you are working on.

Once the hologram is visible, use it as a visual reference while placing blocks. This is most useful for large builds like spheres or redstone structures, where one misplaced block can force you to remove and replace an entire layer. By confirming each block's position against the hologram first, you avoid that rework entirely.
