Build a Programmable Gate System to Control Machines
Place and Configure Gates
Programmable logic gates monitor conditions in your factory and trigger actions automatically. Place a gate adjacent to a machine or pipe network. Right-click to open the programming interface.
Set Trigger Conditions
Gates can monitor:
- Inventory fullness (chest or machine storage)
- Liquid levels in tanks
- Machine heat or energy status
- Redstone signal presence
Configure the gate to watch for a specific condition—for example, "stop quarry when storage chest is full" or "activate pump when oil tank drops below half capacity."
Connect Output Actions
When the monitored condition is met, the gate outputs a redstone signal to connected machines. This signal can:
- Enable or disable engines
- Activate pumps or other fluid handlers
- Trigger additional gates in a chain
Use multiple gates to create complex automation sequences. For example, chain gates together so that when one quarry fills its storage, it automatically powers down and a second quarry powers up, creating continuous mining without manual intervention.
