Bucket Lib Mod is a technical library mod. On its own it adds nothing you can see or craft in-game — it exists to simplify and speed up development for mod authors. It is used in the author's own mods, and third-party developers can build on it too.

For Players

If you are not a developer, treat this as a dependency. It must be installed alongside another mod that requires it, and it does not change anything by itself. One example is Wooden Buckets Mod, which is loaded on demand through this library.

What It Enables

For developers, the library helps create custom buckets. It supports all fluids, including water, lava, and modded fluids. Entities such as axolotls, fish, and mobs from other mods can be obtained, and bucketable blocks like powder snow can be collected. Milk mechanics are compatible with cows and goats, and dispense behavior works automatically. Buckets are highly configurable with allow lists, deny lists, and fluid temperature handling.
