Create Consistent Lighting Across Different Biomes

Understand BSU's Color Grading

BSU applies a global color filter to create its fantasy look. Different biomes may appear to have different lighting due to their natural block colors interacting with this filter. Open shader settings and look for Color Grading or Global Color Adjustment options.

Balance Sky and Ambient Light

The sky color heavily influences how biomes look. Adjust Sky Brightness and Sky Saturation to create a consistent mood across your world. A brighter sky helps desert and plains biomes feel cohesive with forests and mountains.

Reduce Biome-Specific Color Shifts

If certain biomes (like swamps or dark forests) appear too green or too dark, look for Biome Color Influence or similar options and lower them. This makes the shader's fantasy colors dominate over natural biome tints.

Test Multiple Locations

Travel to several biomes—desert, forest, ocean, and mountain—and observe lighting consistency. Make small adjustments and revisit the same spots to ensure changes feel natural across your world.
