Adjust Lighting Intensity and Color Saturation

Access Shader Settings

Press the shader settings key (default: right-click on the shader name in the shader list, or use the in-game menu) to open the configuration panel. BSU Shaders exposes several sliders for controlling how bright and colorful your world appears.

Modify Core Lighting Parameters

Look for sliders labeled Brightness, Saturation, or Color Intensity. These control how vivid the fantasy colors appear:

  • Increase brightness if your world feels too dark or if caves are hard to navigate
  • Increase saturation to make colors pop more; decrease it for a more muted, atmospheric look
  • Adjust ambient light to control how much light fills shadowed areas

Fine-Tune Shadow Behavior

BSU builds on Complementary Unbound's shadow system. Look for Shadow Distance and Shadow Softness options. Softer shadows create a more magical, diffused feel, while sharper shadows add definition.

Apply and Test

Changes apply in real-time. Walk around your world—try different times of day and lighting conditions to see how adjustments affect caves, water, and sky colors. Save your preferred settings by closing the menu.
