Prepare for Creepers That Ignore Walls

Understanding the Threat

Creepers in this mod can explode even when their target is behind a wall or obstacle. This removes the traditional strategy of hiding behind cover, making creeper encounters significantly more dangerous.

Base Protection

• Use blast-resistant blocks (obsidian, deepslate, reinforced concrete) for critical structures
• Create distance between your base and the surrounding terrain—wider perimeters give you more warning time
• Light up all nearby areas to reduce spawn rates, though this won't prevent creepers from attacking
• Avoid storing valuables in single chests; use dispersed storage or shulker boxes in multiple locations

Combat Approach

Since walls won't protect you:

• Engage creepers from range with a bow before they get close
• Wear strong armor to survive closer encounters
• Use a shield to reduce explosion damage
• Keep distance and strafe while attacking—don't let them close in
• Have healing items ready for when explosions do occur

Creeper encounters now require active combat rather than passive defense. Avoid complacency even when you think you're safe behind cover.
