Configuring Bridging Mod: Crosshair, Placement Delay, and Partial Blocks

Adjusting the crosshair

The mod shows a special crosshair when a valid air placement is available. If it clutters your view, open the mod's settings and turn the crosshair display off. You can still place blocks in the air — you just lose the visual confirmation, so aim carefully.

Changing placement delay

Placement delay controls how quickly you can place consecutive air blocks. A short delay lets you bridge fast; a longer delay prevents accidental double placements when your aim drifts. If you find yourself placing blocks you did not intend, increase the delay. If bridging feels sluggish, decrease it.

Working with slabs and partial blocks

Bridging Mod handles slabs and other partial blocks correctly, so you can bridge or build platforms out of them. The placement logic accounts for the partial shape rather than treating it as a full cube. Aim the same way you would with full blocks and let the indicator confirm the spot.

Using the F3 outline

With the debug menu open, an outline box marks the exact target position. This is the best way to verify settings changes — place a test block, check the outline, and adjust the crosshair or delay until the behavior matches what you want. Test in a safe area before relying on new settings during a real build.
