Set Up a Reliable Bee Colony Near Your Base

Place Your Hive Strategically

Bees in this mod remember their home location much more reliably than vanilla bees. Place your bee hive or nest within a reasonable distance of your base—close enough that you can easily access it, but far enough that bee traffic won't interfere with other activities.

Ensure Bees Stay Close

Once bees are assigned to a hive, the improved AI prevents them from wandering excessively. They'll forage in the surrounding area but will consistently return home. You don't need to build walls or barriers to keep them contained—the smarter pathfinding handles this automatically.

Create a Foraging Zone

Place flowers and vegetation around your hive so bees have nearby resources to pollinate. The mod's better navigation means bees will efficiently visit these flowers and return, rather than flying off into the distance. This creates a self-sustaining cycle without the frustration of lost bees.

Monitor Hive Health

Check your hive regularly. With bees no longer getting stuck or lost, your colony should grow steadily and produce honey more consistently than in vanilla Minecraft.
