Crossbow Color Mechanics

The Bow Charger Resource Pack applies the same color-coding system to crossbows as it does to bows. However, crossbows charge differently—they reach full charge faster but require loading time between shots.

Watch your crossbow shift from red to blue as it loads. Unlike bows where you control charge duration, crossbows automatically reach full charge and lock in place. The color system helps you confirm the weapon is ready to fire without checking your inventory.

Combat Tips

Since crossbows charge automatically, use the color progression to time your positioning. While your crossbow loads (red to yellow stage), reposition or gather resources. By the time it reaches green or blue, you're ready to engage.

The visual feedback is particularly useful when switching between multiple crossbows, as you can instantly see which weapon is fully charged without equipping each one. This speeds up combat rotations significantly.

When facing enemies with crossbows, apply the same defensive strategy as with bows—dodge when their weapon turns blue to avoid maximum-damage bolts.
