How to Fix Stuttering and Input Delay in Borderless Mode

Why Borderless Mining Avoids the Usual Lag

Most borderless mods cause microstutters and delayed mouse or keyboard input because of how they present the window to the operating system. Borderless Mining is built specifically to avoid that, giving you a borderless window that feels as responsive as exclusive fullscreen. If you still notice stutter after enabling it, the cause is usually elsewhere.

Troubleshooting Steps

First, confirm you are actually in the mod's borderless mode and not standard windowed mode, since windowed mode can still stutter. Open Video Settings and check the fullscreen entry. Next, lower your render distance or disable heavy shaders to rule out raw performance limits, since borderless mode does not add headroom by itself. If you use Sodium, make sure your settings are configured in the Sodium menu so the two mods are not fighting over window handling. Close overlays from other applications that hook into the game window, as these can reintroduce input delay. Finally, try switching monitors with the built-in button, because some displays handle borderless presentation more smoothly than others. After each change, test movement and camera rotation to see whether the delay is gone.
