Adjust Brightness to Your Preference

Access the Brightness Slider

The Boosted Brightness Resource Pack works seamlessly with Minecraft's built-in brightness controls. You don't need separate settings—just use the standard in-game slider.

1. Open your Pause Menu while in-game

2. Navigate to Options → Video Settings

3. Locate the Brightness slider

4. Adjust left (darker) or right (brighter) to find your ideal level

5. Close the menu; changes apply immediately

Finding Your Sweet Spot

The pack's lightmap shader enhancement means even lower brightness settings will reveal more detail in caves and dark areas than vanilla Minecraft. Start at a comfortable level and test in different environments:

• Caves and mines: Lower brightness still shows good visibility
• Nether: Adjust higher if lava glow feels insufficient
• Overworld at night: Medium settings usually feel natural

Since this pack is lightweight and shader-based, you can freely experiment without performance concerns. Your chosen brightness level persists across sessions.
