Copy a Book's Contents to Another World

Using the /bookcopy Command

To transfer a book from your current world to a different world, you'll need to copy its contents first.

Step 1: Prepare Your Book

Hold the written book in your hand that you want to copy. Make sure it's a completed, written book (not a blank book).

Step 2: Execute the Copy Command

Open your chat and type /bookcopy copy. This command reads the text and formatting from the book you're holding and stores it in the mod's temporary memory.

Step 3: Switch Worlds

Exit your current world and load a different world where you want the book to appear.

Step 4: Paste the Book

In your new world, hold a blank book and quill in your hand. Type /bookcopy paste in chat. The stored book contents will be transferred to your blank book, creating an exact copy with all the original text and formatting preserved.

Tips

  • The copied contents remain stored until you copy a different book, so you can paste multiple times across different worlds
  • Make sure you have a blank book and quill ready before pasting
