Understand the Difference Between Saving and Signing
Two Different Actions
The mod helps you manage unsaved edits, but it's important to understand that saving through the confirmation prompt is not the same as signing a book.
Saving (What the Mod Does)
When you save through the confirmation prompt, your changes are stored in the book and quill. The book remains unsigned and editable. You can close it, reopen it later, and make more changes.
Signing (What Finalizes a Book)
To permanently finalize your book, you must press the "Sign" button while the book GUI is open. Signing locks the book's contents and converts it into a signed book that cannot be edited further.
Workflow
Use the mod's save feature to preserve your work while you're still drafting. Once you're satisfied with the final content, press "Sign" to complete the book. This two-step approach prevents accidental loss while giving you control over when your book becomes permanent.
