Recover from Accidentally Closing the Book GUI

What Happens When You Close

Before this mod, closing the book GUI without pressing "Done" would immediately discard all unsaved changes. With Book and Quick Save Mod installed, a confirmation screen appears instead, giving you a recovery option.

How to Recover Your Work

1. If you've just closed the book GUI, the confirmation prompt should still be visible

2. Select the option to save your changes

3. Your edits will be preserved in the book

4. The book will remain in your inventory, ready to edit again

Prevention Tips

While the mod prevents accidental loss, you can further protect your work by:

• Regularly saving through the confirmation prompt as you write
• Signing your book once you've finished editing
• Keeping backup copies of important books in storage

The confirmation screen is your safety net — it gives you a moment to reconsider before losing any progress.
