How to Use BoccHUD as a Replacement for the F3 Debug Screen

What You Gain

Vanilla's F3 screen dumps a wall of text across the whole display. BoccHUD condenses the useful parts — coordinates, facing, targeted block, biome, light level, FPS — into a compact corner overlay you can leave on permanently. The goal is to stop pressing F3 entirely for routine play.

Setting It Up as Your Default

1. Open the BoccHUD config screen from your key bind.

2. Enable the overlay and turn on the data lines you normally read on F3.

3. Choose a corner and enable the background so it stays legible.

4. Close the screen and play normally for a session.

When You Still Need F3

Some information is not part of BoccHUD's compact set — for example detailed chunk or entity debugging. Keep F3 available for those rare cases, but treat BoccHUD as your everyday readout. If you find yourself opening F3 repeatedly for one specific value, that is a signal to go back into the config and enable the matching BoccHUD line instead. Over a few sessions you will converge on a minimal, personal HUD that covers everything you actually check.
