What Bocchium Does

Bocchium is a small, single-purpose mod focused on rendering optimization for blocks inside certain dimensions. Instead of changing gameplay, it targets how block faces are drawn, cutting out work the game does not need to do.

The main behavior is selective culling: specific sides of blocks are skipped during rendering based on where the block sits within its dimension. The clearest example is bedrock, whose unnecessary side faces are removed from rendering. Because those faces are normally hidden anyway, skipping them reduces wasted rendering calculations and helps the game run smoother.

Players also get control over top and bottom culling through configurable settings, so you can decide how aggressively those faces are handled. The mod is built to work alongside other rendering optimization mods, layering its culling on top of theirs rather than replacing them.

If you want a lightweight performance tweak that only touches block face rendering, this is the scope of the mod.
