Access Shadow Controls

Open shader settings and navigate to the shadow or lighting section. BMS Shaders allows adjustment of how shadows cast across your world.

Adjust Shadow Softness

Increase shadow blur for softer, more natural-looking shadows that blend smoothly with lit areas. Decrease blur for sharper, more defined shadow edges. Find the balance that matches your preferred aesthetic.

Control Shadow Distance

Adjust how far shadows render from your character. Longer distances create more immersive environments but cost performance. Shorter distances keep shadows close to you while reducing lag.

Modify Shadow Intensity

Change how dark shadows appear. Stronger shadows create dramatic contrast and depth, while weaker shadows maintain visibility in shaded areas and caves.

Observe Time of Day Effects

Shadows shift with the sun and moon position. Test your settings at sunrise, noon, sunset, and night to ensure shadows look good throughout the day cycle.
