Preparing for the Broomstick Escape Animation
What to Expect When Witches Flee
When you reduce a witch's health to zero, she doesn't fall over dead. Instead, she pulls out a magic broomstick and launches into the sky, flying away from the battle. This dramatic escape is purely visual—the witch still counts as defeated, and you receive all normal drops and experience points as if she had died conventionally.
Loot Collection
Since the witch flies away rather than falling, her drops appear on the ground where she was defeated. Collect these items immediately, as they won't follow the witch into the sky. The escape animation happens quickly, so be ready to gather your rewards.
Combat Strategy Unchanged
The broomstick escape doesn't affect witch combat difficulty or mechanics. They still drink healing potions, cast status effects, and deal the same damage. The animation is purely cosmetic flavor that makes witch encounters feel more magical and less grim. Plan your witch hunts the same way you would with vanilla witches—the escape is just a charming visual flourish at the end.
