Troubleshoot Low Frame Rates or Visual Glitches
Check Your Current Settings
Open Shader Options and review what's enabled. If you're experiencing lag, start by lowering Shadow Quality and Reflection Quality—these are the most demanding features in Bloop.
Reduce Render Distance Gradually
If shader settings alone don't help, lower your render distance in Video Settings. Bloop scales well, but very high render distances combined with high shader quality can overwhelm older systems. Reduce in small increments and test.
Address Visual Problems
If you see flickering, color banding, or strange lighting:
- Ensure your graphics driver is up to date.
- Try disabling Bloom or Ambient Occlusion temporarily to isolate the issue.
- Lower Lighting Detail if certain areas appear overly bright or dark.
Reset to Defaults
If problems persist, reset Bloop's settings to default and re-enable features one at a time. This helps identify which specific setting causes issues on your hardware. Bloop is optimized for stability, so a clean start often resolves unusual behavior.
