How Block Runner Changes Movement Speed

Block Runner Mod makes your running speed depend on the block you are moving across. Instead of a single fixed sprint speed, the ground beneath you matters. Path blocks are the clearest example: they now give a real speed boost rather than being purely decorative, so you run faster on a path than on plain grass.

The boost applies both on foot and while riding a horse, so trails and roads stay useful in either case.

Configuring Block Speeds

You are not limited to path blocks. The mod lets you configure speed settings for any block or block tag, so you can decide which surfaces are fast and which are not. This makes roads, trails, and built routes functional for navigation rather than just visual.

Settings are adjusted through the mod menu. On Fabric, in-game configuration requires the Mod Menu mod to be installed. Without it, you can still edit the config, but not from inside the game.
