How to Combine the Blinking Eyes Pack With Your Other Resource Packs

Understand why order matters

Resource packs stack from top to bottom, and the topmost pack that contains a given texture file is the one the game uses. This pack only changes two textures: the Eye of Ender and the Heart of the Sea. Any pack below it that also edits those two files will be ignored for those items, while everything else from that lower pack still applies. That is exactly what you want if you like a big texture overhaul but prefer these blinking versions.

Set the load order

Open Options, then Resource Packs. In the Selected column on the right, drag this pack so it sits above your larger overhaul pack. Click Done and let the game reload. Your world, blocks, and other items keep the overhaul look, but the Eye of Ender and Heart of the Sea now blink.

Verify and troubleshoot

Hold an Eye of Ender in third person or place a Heart of the Sea in an item frame and watch for the blink. If either is still static, another selected pack above this one is overriding it. Move this pack higher, or temporarily disable the others to confirm. Press F3+T to reload textures after any change instead of restarting the game. Keep this pack near the top of the list permanently so future pack updates do not silently push it down.
