Use Blight Spark Visuals on a Multiplayer Server

Server-Side Installation

Place the Blight Spark Visuals mod file in your server's mods folder (alongside other server mods). Restart the server. When installed server-side, all connected players will see consistent visual effects without needing to download the mod individually.

Client-Side Only Setup

Alternatively, install the mod only in your client's .minecraft/mods/ folder. This works on any multiplayer server and shows effects only to you—other players won't see your auras. This approach requires no server configuration.

Verify Compatibility

Confirm the mod version matches your server's Minecraft version. If using server-side installation, ensure your server has the required mod loader (Forge, Fabric, etc.) installed.

Test Effects

Join the server and apply a status effect to yourself or another player. You should see the aura appear. If running client-side only, only you'll see it. If server-side, all players see the same effects.

Server-side installation provides a unified visual experience for everyone; client-side is lighter on server resources but personal to each player.
