How to Convert Raw Metal Blocks into Metal Blocks Using a Blast Furnace

Getting Set Up

To convert raw metal blocks into their solid metal block form, you need a blast furnace — a regular furnace will not work with this mod. Craft a blast furnace using a furnace, iron ingots, smooth stone, and a bucket of lava, or find one in a village armorer's house. You also need fuel (coal, charcoal, or a lava bucket) and at least one raw metal block.

Smelting the Block

1. Place the blast furnace down and right-click it to open its interface.

2. Put your fuel in the bottom slot.

3. Put the raw metal block (raw iron block, raw copper block, or raw gold block) in the top slot.

4. The blast furnace processes faster than a normal furnace, so this is quick.

5. Collect the finished metal block from the output slot.

What You Get

Each raw metal block smelts into one full block of the corresponding metal — one raw iron block becomes one iron block, one raw copper block becomes one copper block, and one raw gold block becomes one gold block. From there you can place the block or craft it into nine ingots at a crafting table. This is far more efficient than smelting each raw ore piece individually, since a single operation handles nine ingots' worth of material at once.
