Trigger Dialogues with Commands

Use the /blabber Command

The /blabber command is your primary tool for starting dialogues. The basic syntax is:

`

/blabber start <player> <dialogue_id> <entry_id>

`

  • <player>: Target player(s) using selectors like @s, @a, or @p
  • <dialogue_id>: The ID of your dialogue from the JSON file
  • <entry_id>: Which entry to start from (usually "start" or your opening entry)

Practical Examples

Start a dialogue for yourself:

`

/blabber start @s my_dialogue start

`

Start for all players:

`

/blabber start @a my_dialogue start

`

Start for the nearest player:

`

/blabber start @p my_dialogue start

`

Automate with Command Blocks

Place command blocks in your world and set them to execute the /blabber command when triggered by redstone, allowing dialogues to activate when players interact with NPCs or enter specific areas.
