Create Your First Dialogue

Set Up Your Dialogue File

Dialogues in Blabber Mod are stored as JSON files. Create a new .json file in your mod's or datapack's dialogue folder with a descriptive name, such as my_first_dialogue.json.

Write Basic Dialogue Structure

Your JSON file needs a dialogue ID and at least one dialogue entry. Here's the minimal structure:

`json

{

"dialogues": {

"my_dialogue": {

"entries": {

"start": {

"text": "Hello! This is my first dialogue."

}

}

}

}

}

`

Test Your Dialogue

Once saved, use the /blabber command in-game to trigger it:

`

/blabber start @s my_dialogue start

`

Replace @s with a player selector if needed. The dialogue text should appear on screen. You can expand this basic structure by adding multiple entries and linking them together with actions to create branching conversations.
