How to Safely Loot Exposed Dungeons

Finding Exposed Dungeons

Exposed Dungeons are surface-level ruins that spawn in plains, snowy biomes, and deserts. Unlike traditional hidden dungeons, these structures are partially visible above ground, making them easier to spot during exploration. Look for ruined stone structures and exposed spawner blocks.

Dealing with Mob Spawners

These dungeons contain active monster spawners that continuously spawn hostile mobs. Before looting, disable the spawners by placing torches around them or breaking them with a pickaxe. This prevents constant mob waves while you collect loot.

Efficient Looting

Once spawners are neutralized, systematically search all custom loot chests throughout the structure. Bring a pickaxe to break blocks and create escape routes if needed. Watch for hidden rooms—dungeons often contain multiple chambers.

Safety Tips

Bring healing potions and armor repair materials. If overwhelmed, retreat and regroup. Consider visiting during daytime when outdoor visibility is better, or bring torches and lanterns to light your way through darker interior sections.
